--All infants and children can receive the full dose of the influenza vaccine in France (some in the USA are still a half-dose for infants)
--As of October 2018, 10,000 cases of measles have been declared in Europe. Most cases have occured in unvaccinated patients.
--The American Academy of Pediatrics has changed its guidelines for the introduction of solid foods to babies.
--The American Academy of Pediatrics now recommends just two doses of the HPV / papillomavirus vaccine, starting at age 11 years. For older teens, the three-dose schedule is still recommended.
The Centers for Disease Control published statistics for the 2012-13 flu season; in the United States, 158 children died from influenza complications. It's a more significant illness than most of us believe.
